Buchanan created Performance work between 1970 and 1987. Works are documented in The Amazing Decade, by Moira Roth, and California Performance, edited by Carl Loeffler. Video of her performance Please Sing Along (1974) was included in the Centre Pompidou exhibition, Los Angeles 1955-1985, which was on view March - July 2007.
